I recently received my Ph.D. in Political Science from the Department of Government at Harvard University. My dissertation examined the empirical determinants of individual freedom, using a large cross-sectional, individual-level survey data set from 36 developing countries from various areas of the world, and covering a broad spectrum of regime types. I defended my dissertation in May 2008.
